Previous British Broadcasting Corporation specialists appearing before Members of Parliament

We begin with questions from Conservative MP Caroline Dinenage, who chairs the committee.

She opens by giving background to the leaked memorandum prepared by Michael Prescott and printed in the Telegraph.

"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation leaning toward one side or the other, I just want it neutral, fair and fair," he says.

In response to a query whether he considers the British Broadcasting Corporation is systematically partial, he responds: "No, I do not. To be clear, numerous aspects the BBC creates is exceptional - including documentary and fictional programming."

However, he continues: "There is substantial tasks that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

Another ex-adviser BBC consultant questioned by the panel, Caroline Daniel, states she takes the British Broadcasting Corporation very seriously and that it operates a "continuous process and vigorous discourse" regarding dynamic and complex issues.

"Whether the BBC was ready to engage in a genuine conversation and argument and take action?" she reflects. "From my perspective, indeed, they were."
